A companion piece of nephrite – part of the same block of jade that Cosimo Geracitano purchased first and from which he fashioned The Jade Book – is displayed beside The Jade Book on a matching stand to emphasize the incredible transition from boulder to book. This piece of jade coincidentally weighs exactly the same as The Jade Book: 68.5 kilograms (151 pounds).
